“I’ve have always enjoyed working out and have worked out for many years at different facilities. In my younger years I enjoyed playing sports, especially tennis.
What motivated me to workout with Tessa Westhoff is that she’s very professional, knows her stuff, and is funny. That is very important to me to have a fun time while getting a great workout 3 times a week for 30 minutes.
What I love about my exercise program is that it challenges me and keeps me independent as I’m in my 90’s. She has the right balance to keep pushing me to work harder each time I see her and that’s what I need. I need that push to help keep up with my daughter and her dogs on walks outside. Advice I would give to people younger than me is to just try and to keep going because every ounce of strength is crucial when you reach an old age. Do what’s right for your body and move! Tessa is very good. She will keep you on track for on best for you and your workouts!”

“Prior to March of 2021 I worked out 5-6 days a week. Then came the great shut down (you know the COVID pandemic 😉) I started working from home and my gym closed I did what I could to stay active with no equipment, a lot of body weight exercises walking/running I started doing YouTube videos but kept losing my focus and drive. Trying to find dumbbells and other equipment was challenging I slowly started to acquire equipment, but I still could not stay motivated. I knew that I needed to contact Tessa to get me back on track, she had been my trainer years before and I knew she would get me back on track. "Before working with Tessa, and TW Health & Fitness, I had been losing weight at a slow and steady rate for a good part of 2020 mostly from changing how I was eating. Due to an ankle injury I hadn't been physically active, so I lost a lot of strength and endurance. I tried looking at a couple free apps and services, but they were all either focused on diet or workouts that weren't tailored to me and my needs. One of my main problems was that I really didn't know what workouts I needed to build back my strength. It seemed like everything I read online was so focused on how to do it the easiest or fastest way. I needed someone I could talk to who understood what I needed and could give me a clear path to my goals.
Working with Tessa has been really helpful. She knows exactly what my needs are and we have worked together to build workouts that minimize the impact in areas that I was having problems with. Having a real person by my side that I trust has been a huge help and motivation factor. Since the start of the pandemic in March of 2020, I have lost around 40lbs and a chunk of that was while working with Tessa. My endurance and ability to do things without running out of breath has almost all been built back. I'm looking forward to reaching my weight goal and being more active with friends!"
